Kin Economy Monthly Update - September '24

Each month, the decentralized Kin community continues to make progress on our collective goal of creating a global digital economy using the Kin cryptocurrency. We are developers, stakeholders, and visionaries who are economically aligned and mutually incentivized to expand the use of Kin and benefit in the value created as adoption grows.

In September, we saw significant developments that pushed us closer to realizing our shared vision. Let’s take a look back at the progress that we’ve achieved and then finally what we can expect in the months ahead.

Celebrating 7 Years of Kin

September marked the seventh anniversary of the Kin cryptocurrency. Kin launched on the Ethereum blockchain on September 26th, 2017 and eventually migrated to the Solana blockchain in 2020. 

"The last 7 years have felt both long and short. It has been a grind at times, but step by step Kin is becoming the first cryptocurrency with mainstream utility. Happy anniversary everyone," said Ted Livingston in a post commemorating the milestone.
